Hello, friends! My apologies for not having a new recipe to share with you today. I know my blogging schedule has been a bit off since I returned from my vacation. I have been focusing on things outside of my blog and my personal life. No worries though, I am trying my best to get into the groove of things!
Isn’t the sky beautiful? A few days ago my husband and I woke up bright and early to hop on our friend’s boat to go crabbing. I haven’t gone crabbing in over ten years so it was fun to do it again, even though I barely got any sleep the night before!
Since it was the beginning of crabbing season, people were out launching their boats in hopes to catch some dinner. The Puget Sound is a great place to go crabbing if you like Dungeness crabs!
It was important to make sure that the crabs we caught were male and big enough to keep.
Since I was the only girl on the boat, I got to sit back and relax most of the time while the boys had to put in some hard work to pull the crab cages out of the water. 🙂
Just passing by a US Coast Guard ship as we were heading back towards the dock.
Here are the crabs that we caught! We actually caught a lot more than this but they weren’t big enough to keep. Some of them were just a tad under the size limit but we still had to throw them back in the water.
Thanks for tuning into my picture recap about my experience crabbing on the Puget Sound! I will get back into creating and posting recipes later this week! Enjoy the rest of your day!
