Happy June, my friends! Hope you had a lovely weekend! The weather is warming up and summer is right around the corner! I don’t have a new recipe to share today but I would like to share my tasty food weekend with you!
On Friday, my husband and I volunteered at an event to help raise funds to grant weddings for couples facing a terminal illness and serious life-altering situations. Since we are newlyweds, we thought this would be a great opportunity to help others have the wedding of their dreams regardless of what they have going on in their lives.
We grabbed a bite to eat before the event and went to happy hour at Elliott’s Oyster House. If you live in or plan on visiting Seattle you MUST come here if you love oysters! We only paid $1 per oyster and that is an excellent deal for fresh oysters! We ordered four dozens and a few sides. Below is a picture of our first two dozens. Honestly, I could’ve eaten more but I didn’t want to get too crazy. :)
The Brides for a Cause event was held at the beautiful Alexis Hotel.
There were hundreds of beautiful gowns being sold at discount prices. I wish I had known about this event while I was looking for my wedding dress! I saw a dress that was very similar to my dress that was brand new and sold for a fraction of the price. Someone actually ended up buying it and she looked so gorgeous in it. Finding the right dress is such an important moment in the wedding planning process!
Mirror selfie before the event started!
On Saturday, we went to the Mariners game. It was a very slow-paced game but the Mariners ended up winning! Woohoo!
The Mariner moose was just a few rows in front of us! He was rewarding a fan with a bunch of Payday bars!
We had Cajun crawfish, shrimp, and clams prior to the game. It looks messy but it was so flavorful and delicious! A friend recommended Crawfish House to us and we definitely were not disappointed!
Sunday was another gorgeous day! We went to eat at a Hawaiian restaurant with our family. Unfortunately I didn’t take photos of the food since I was starving and stuffed my face as soon as our order was ready! However, I will leave you with a picture of a view of the city from the restaurant we were at. Seattle is so gorgeous and I’m looking forward to more warm and sunny days!
Have a happy Monday!
